Application
This flaring tool kit is suitable for cutting off non-ferrous metal hangers such as copper and aluminum and expanding the gate. The deformed nozzle can be expanded and restored.
Operation Instruction/Operation Method
1. Before expanding the pipe, the flared end of the copper pipe shall be leveled with a file.
2. Next, the burr of the expanded material needs to be removed with a chamferer to prepare for the reaming.
3. Select appropriate fixtures (British system, metric system) according to the expanded materials.
4. When expanding the pipe mouth, the pipe mouth must be higher than the surface of the clamp, and its height is slightly greater than the length of the chamfer of the clamping hole. Then, screw the cone head onto the top pressing screw of the bow frame, fix the bow frame on the clamp, and make the cone head and the center of the copper pipe on the same straight line. Then, turn the handle on the top pressing screw clockwise to make the cone head against the pipe mouth, and screw the screw evenly and slowly. Repeat this process to gradually expand the pipe mouth into a pipe mouth.
Precaution
1. The pipe expander is a special tool for expanding the end of small-diameter copper pipe to form a bell mouth. In order to make the bell mouth better, it needs to be filed and leveled before expanding the pipe.
2. Pay attention not to use excessive force when tightening the screw type to avoid bursting the side wall of the copper pipe.
3. When expanding the bell mouth, apply a little refrigerant oil on the cone head to facilitate the lubrication of the bell mouth.
4. The bell mouth finally expanded shall be round, smooth and free of cracks.
